School hall

Built in 1822, for many years the hall was the main school building. These days it is used for assemblies, PE lessons and school performances.

Teaching block

Built in year 2000 as an extension to the existing building, our spacious classrooms are all equipped with interactive whiteboards.

ICT area

Our children are taught in groups by our ICT specialist.

Practical area

A shared space where children from all classes engage in group activities such as reading and painting.

Early years area

Grass and tarmac areas for early years exploration and play. Garden area features include an outdoor classroom, pond, beds for growing flowers and vegetables, sand trays and water. Tarmac area has facilities for child-initiated learning activities and play.


Lots of space to run around and let off steam! Playground markings for structured games and an activity trail provides all-weather adventurous play opportunities.

School field

Used by the children at lunchtimes in fair weather and marked out for competitive games during the school year – football, rugby, athletics ,cricket and rounders. The woods are popular with the children who enjoy den building. A second adventure trail further enhances the outdoor facilities.


The garden area is used by children in early years for outdoor exploration and play. Children grow vegetables and flowers in Gardening club. In summer 2013 we will be having a garden festival and each class will plant and dress a flower bed in the garden
