Built in 1822, for many years the hall was the main school building. These days it is used for assemblies, PE lessons and school performances.
Built in year 2000 as an extension to the existing building, our spacious classrooms are all equipped with interactive whiteboards.
A shared space where children from all classes engage in group activities such as reading and painting.
Early years area
Grass and tarmac areas for early years exploration and play. Garden area features include an outdoor classroom, pond, beds for growing flowers and vegetables, sand trays and water. Tarmac area has facilities for child-initiated learning activities and play.
Lots of space to run around and let off steam! Playground markings for structured games and an activity trail provides all-weather adventurous play opportunities.
Used by the children at lunchtimes in fair weather and marked out for competitive games during the school year – football, rugby, athletics ,cricket and rounders. The woods are popular with the children who enjoy den building. A second adventure trail further enhances the outdoor facilities.
In 2015, the School was successful in gaining funding from Active Cheshire to remodel the school garden. As a consequence, pupils now have access to a beautiful outdoor resource which is used around the year. Further works, donated by the Broadly Group as part of the nationwide Considerate Constructors Scheme, has made the area more accessible for those with disabilities.
We run a gardening club with a team of dedicated voluteers - both pupils and adults - who help keep the garden looking beautiful.
